Last Saturday afternoon, I visited Tokyo Café SM Megamall with fellow Filipino food bloggers.

Looking outside, I noticed that the place look more like a family restaurant than a coffee shop. Or is it just me?

Looking into their menu, I’d say this is a good place if you’re into Japanese foods. If not, you can have their pizza or pasta. And if you order anything with their core product, coffee, then you’re in for a treat. Tokyo Café serves affordable meals and authentic Japanese dishes and coffees.

Tokyo Café’s GoHotel branch offers its customers the popular Filipino breakfast silog meals, adding more products to the already varied menu. This is mainly due to the location and the target market of that branch.

According to Ms. Kate Paredes, marketing manager of iFoods Exchange Incorporated, Tokyo Café will be open for franchising to provinces starting next year. Asked how much is the possible total investment, she replied “eight to ten million.”

Tokyo Café has six branches across Metro Manila and one overseas branch in Xiamen, China.
