A slice of New York at Slices Pizzeria

Did you know that one of the most common password used in the World Wide Web is “pizza123”? Really, it is.

With over a billion internet users, it shows how much people love pizza. Including me.

Back in April, when I went to Hong Kong to cover HKTDC Electronics Fair, while walking by the quiet Leighton Road around four in the afternoon, I saw a pizza shop at the corner of Haven Street in Causeway Bay. Aptly named, Slices Pizzeria.

Quite had enough of Dim Sum, I went inside. Typical pizzeria, there’s a counter with the pizzas displayed in a window, a cashier to order from, and seats and tables.

Pies come in 14″, 18″, and 22″ sizes. For 22″ pizzas, the price starts from $190 HKD for Margherita and up to $250 HKD for a four-topping pie. A slice of pizza starts from $28 HKD and shoots up to $32 HKD. I bought a slice of pepperoni pizza.

The pizza’s crust is just right for me. Not too thick and it’s crunchy. The pepperoni wasn’t spicy enough for me but it’s tasty. The tomato sauce was a bit sour, which I like, and the amount of cheese is fine, though I prefer it overflowing.

Want to have a different kind of pizza? Slices lets you create your own!

What’s more, if you’re a group of 3 to 5 students you’ll get 10% discount. Ff you’re more than 6, you’ll get 15% discount. And if it’s your birthday, Slices will give you a 50% discount. How cool is that!?

If you’re in Hong Kong and would like to have a good slice of pizza, try them!
