My friend invited me to go with her and try an all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant – yakiMIX.
Internet geek that I am, I immediately searched around the web about it and read reviews. What I found out was that there were more bad things people say about the place than good ones. Mostly those are about who they call MOA’s branch manager, Chito. They say that he’s unprofessional. Regarding the food, they say people have plenty of choices but what people will get are just OK-ish and there’s nothing to rave about.
With all those things I read I was a bit hesitant to shell out 580 pesos for an OK-ish food and bad service but, I’ve got to give them the benefit of the doubt so that I can tell it myself if they are indeed what they say they are. So I agreed to my friend to try what they have to offer.
I told my friend to call MOA’s branch to have our seat reserved and she told me that the crew she spoke with told her that they don’t accept phone reservations anymore and that we should walk-in to reserve our seats. I said OK I read that in reviews, we’ll just walk in. We arrived at the restaurant around 7 PM and talked with the crew to have our name listed in the reservation list, we’re 12th in the list. The crew asked as that should we choose to eat outside there are tables readily available. My friend and I waited around 10 minutes and then she said to me that we’ll just have to take the seat outside so we won’t get too late. So I told the crew that we’ll have the seat outside instead and then another crew quickly assisted us and arranged our place.
After our table and seats arranged we headed inside to see what yakiMIX is all about. Foods are presented well and looks delicious. We tried to have a sample of all the dishes and after several plates we’re full.
Here’s what we had:
I’m full but I have to agree with the reviews I read, the food is just OK and there’s nothing to rave about.
To wrap it up, here’s yakiMIX for me.

If you’re hungry as a bear and just wants to fill that up with something, yakiMIX is a good place to go. But, if you’re after good food with a decent price tag on it, I don’t recommend this place.
Have you tried yakiMIX, what’s your experience?
